when checking the (calculate product quantity) check box on the formula creation window:

frm-40200:field is protected against update

any suggestions?

Hi,

(In R12)Please set the organization parameter "Automatic Product Quantity Calculation" to YES.

Navigation > Product Developement security manager >Organization Parameter > Query the organization >Formula Tab

Then check whether your problem solved ?
