OPM quality Sample workflow when a new lot is created

Hi

Can anyone help me in setup of notification to the quality manager whenever a new lot is produced in a production batch?

Please send me your comments or any setup docs.

Hi,
(R12) You may try with Workflow administrator web application(under sysadmin user)

in Workflow administrator web application, you can find Bussines event
like "oracle.apps.inv.lotCreate" or "oracle.apps.gme.batch.complete".
enable this events with there subscription also.setup the specification with
inventory validity rule/WIP vality rule[create sample automatically-yes, if AME(approval management) not used] with sampling plan as per your requirement.

I have configured the business events-Production transaction quality sample but it is not working? We need a notification to be sent to the quality manager whenever a new lot is created in a production batch,is there any additional setup for the same? please help me in this regard.

Hi,

What is the purpose of sending notification to your quality manager? Is it required for testing the lot sample or what?

If it is for testing purpose (sample creation) then You can Review the R12 AME setup(the pdf attached in previous reply and user guide),Quality Management Workflows(OPM R12 quality user guide).Also you have to setup Sampling plan,Specification and validity rule etc.

Or

If it is for only for information purpose,then i have no setup doc. or setup requirement for that.

Your requirement can be configured.Please review the loaded shots.Though I am unable to configure the particular scenario due to absense of seeded business event in my instance.You please try it.

Hi,

Please note that in the attached Word doc I have mentioned the business event is "ORACLE.APPS.GMD.INVENTORY.CREATED" -- which is incorrect instead you have to use "oracle.apps.gmi.inventory.created" along with the AME setup.

It is working fine for me.Have you done it?

Complete your AME setup with the said transaction type with Rule,Attribute,Condition,Action and Approver group{this should be the Quality user (HR pople attach with FND user)}.

Enable the said Event & subscription.

Create one Specification with Inventory Validity rule with uncheck the box "Create sample automatically".

create Production batch ,complete and transact product to subinventory.

Login to Quality user and find out there on notification for taking sample from the produced lot.

Thank you very much for your kind reply, Yes, I have made the setup in AME and enabled the gmi.inventory event and also i have made the inv.spec and now Iam getting the notification to the QM whenever a new lot is created in production batches. But the problem for me is that there is also a WIP specification for that product and this spec controls the batch step status.Since we are taking the sample from the notification - this takes from the inventory specs as source and because of this the results are not updated in the batch please advice.

Hi,

The AME transaction type "Process Quality Production
Transaction Sample Creation" is working with the following
Events, so you can set a WIP Validity rule , with the above AME transaction type and the following bussines event (which one suite your requirement)


oracle.apps.gme.batch.created,

oracle.apps.gme.batchstep.created

and

oracle.apps.gme.bstep.rel.wf


If it is not resolve your issue the you can also create all this as per you own requirement
(Business event,AME transaction type etc)

I have enabled the events and subscription for all the 3 events for the transaction type - Process quality Production transaction sample creation.Done the setups in AME too but even now there are no notifications triggered? what shall I do know? pls advice.

Hi,

Have you created WIP validity rule for the recipe? And also check when a batch step is releasd the "Quality status" is "Sample required" at Batch step form(batch details).If this is not then sample will not be generated.

So check it and if not solved the I think you please raise SR to oracle

Yes i have the WIP spec validity rule and the batch step status shows Sample required for a step but even then the sample notification is not sent.I think I need to raise an SR?

according to the business case, when the quality user enters a test result which is out of range this tested sample will be rejected, it is why he needs a notification to appear telling him that this lot from which the sample is taken will be rejected.
how can this notification appear on the result screen while entering his results

Hi Swiza

A notification will not occur whenever a sample is rejected. However the results of the same would appear in the batch.

Batch>Step>Other >sample> result.

As a standard functionality, for the sample results there are no notifications as such.
