What do you consider the core elements of an agile warehouse?

I would consider an agile warehosue being one that can be modeled quickly based on its current need. Some warehouses can suddendly become Rapid Distribution Centers based on the often changing needs of the Supply Chain. So, how do you quickly change a warehouse model from basic 'receive, store and ship' to a more complicated model of receive and ship based on rapidly changing shipping destination needs. You will need software that can functionally 'store' warehouse receive locations, putaway rules/ locations, picking rules/ locations, and shipping rules/ locations, as well transporatation rules, and model them quickly based on the changed environment.

Now that Foxfire is your partner for WMS what is the roadmap for GEMINI.
Will they co-exist or you will merge them as one..
GEMINI sits on APPS with no need for a seperate DB while FF warrants one. Besides there is not data transfer in GEMINI from APPS while FF warrant that. Can you also provide a comparison between GEMINI AND FF..
..
Thanks

While we have added Agile WMS to the TAKE Supply Chain (formerly ClearOrbit) portfolio, we remain committed to Gemini as a mobile solution to extend both Oracle eBusiness Suite, Oracle MSCA/WMS and SAP ECC. To that point, we continue to have additional releases of both the Oracle and SAP versions slated for later this year.
With our Agile WMS, though, we can now provide a new solution for customers that have not been able to reach full WMS functionality previously. Many, for financial or business reasons, cannot make the plunge into a full WMS upgrade. Instead, this provides a gradual shift where they can capture the value of a full WMS without the cost. Additionally, this allows our customers to leverage their relationship with TAKE, to accomplish more while keeping with our "single throat to choke" mantra.
