Hi Swiza
Hi Nano Damir
A Buffer is an item usually used in a process industry, which contributes only to the quantity of the product produced without affecting the chemical composition of the product. Ex - Water, may be used as a buffer ingredient for producing certain chemicals or lubes which contributes only to the volume of the product ( Lubes) and this doesnt alter the chemical composition of that lube.
Buffers can be used while working on simulator for optimizing the batch. When you indicate an item as buffer in the formula, the simulator adjusts the quantity of that buffer item to modify or optimize the volume of product without affecting the chemical composition.
Buffer indicator can be used only when using simulators for formula and batches.
Hope I have clarified your doubts!
Best Regards
Ramesh
