Promotional Packs

We have a situation where we need to add samples of some of the products when shipping the main product.

How do you do this?

Should we create a batch where we add the promotional product to the main product and create a new product?

It seems like lot of process changes.

Is there a simpler way?

You might consider creating a Pick to Order item that includes the sample and the product. THen create each on its own batch. When the sales order line is released, both the product and the sample show up on the pick list.
The customer orders the Pick to Order Item and received the product and the sample.
